The Dolan Fire burning near Big Sur and the San Luis Obispo County line has grown by more than 17,800 acres. Part of the growth was caused by what’s called a burnout operation meant to stop the fire’s spread. At last report, the arson caused Dolan Fire was 111,382 acres and 26% contained. Meanwhile, the Creek Fire in Fresno county has scorched 175,893 acres and was last reported to be 6 percent contained.
