An influx of street vendors has moved into the area around the Pismo Pier in recent weeks. That has caught the attention of the Pismo Chamber of Commerce. At tonight’s City Council meeting, members will consider a new urgency ordinance to regulate these vendors by establishing things like places and times they can sell their wares and rules for trash clean up. According to KSBY, state law allows street vendors, but cities can regulate the time, manner, and places that sidewalk vending can take place.
