The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Deputy injured in last week’s shooting incident was released from the hospital yesterday. Deputy Richard Lehnhoff was shot in the lower leg while he was chasing a wanted felon. The suspect died during a gun battle with other deputies. Deputy Lehnhoff was escorted home by numerous Sheriff’s, Police, and CHP vehicles that were greeted by crowds cheering on overpasses along the route.
