Lompoc School District Moves Closer To Opening Schools

School Districts in San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara Counties are staring to test employees. Earlier this month the Lompoc Unified School District voted to reopen for in-person learning by January. Before they can allow students back on campus, all 1,100 employees must be tested. Yesterday, COVID-19 home test kits were being dropped in the mail. According to KSBY, Under Governor Gavin Newsom’s mandate, all school staff must be tested once every two months. Officials say this week’s kit distribution moves them one step closer to being able to reopen schools safely.
