California Drought Free

Yesterday was the first day in eight years that the U.S. Drought Monitor reported that the state of California was drought free. There are still small areas along the California-Oregon border and Southern California that are considered abnormally dry. Even though we have had a great rainy season, officials say conservation is still necessary. Cal Fire officials say while the rains have soaked the soil, they have also helped fire fuels like grasses and other vegetation grow.
