Police departments from Paso Robles to Lompoc say they have seen an uptick in the number of catalytic converters stolen in the past weeks. The converters contain precious metals that thieves are after and can cost a couple of thousand dollars to replace. According to law enforcement, Toyota Prius is the most popular target.
