While the 4th of July is still five months away, Arroyo Grande City officials are taking steps regarding Safe and Sane fireworks within the city limits. Council members voted to eliminate an ordinance that allowed Safe and Sane fireworks to be used during a 72 hour period surrounding the 4th of July. People can now only light the fireworks on the 4th. They are also considering a change in how long safe and sane fireworks can be sold.
