The Paso Robles Joint Unified School District has cut a little more than 2 million dollars from its 2019-20120 budget. The goal for board members at Tuesday’s meeting was to keep a majority of the cuts out of the classrooms. That was done through early retirement incentives for 30 certified and 9 classified positions. That saved the district almost half a million dollars. According to KSBY, Another major cut came with the closing of the Paso Robles Community Day School. The district isn’t out of the woods just yet. Another 800,000 dollars still need to be cut from the 2020-21 budget. That could mean layoffs.
