Murder rates in California have dipped slightly. That’s according to a recently released report by the FBI. The report shows that the number of violent crimes overall in California’s largest cities fell by less than 1 percent during the first half of last year, but the overall murder rate during the same period was down by 12 percent. The largest decline happened in Fresno, which saw 18 murders in the first half of 2018, compared to 33 in the first half of 2017.
