Arroyo Grande Police say a Grover Beach man is behind bars on drug-related charges. It started Monday night when officers tried to stop a man on a bicycle for a traffic violation just after 11:30. The man fled but left behind a small amount of suspected narcotics. Officers from Arroyo Grande and Grover Beach Police Departments eventually spotted 50-year-old Manuel Pineda Javier III climbing a fence on Strawberry Avenue. He was booked into county jail on several charges including resisting arrest, and drug possession.
