Former Administrator Won’t Face Manslaughter Charges

The former Administrator of The Manse on Marsh won’t stand trial for manslaughter in the death of a 65-year-old client. Gary Potts entered a plea deal with prosecutors and agreed yesterday to enter a plea of no contest to a felony charge of elder abuse. According to the Tribune, Potts had faced an additional felony charge of involuntary manslaughter related to the death of Mauricio Edgar Cardenas in 2014. He’s scheduled to be sentenced to six months in county jail.
