It didn’t take long to find a tenant to take over the Kmart building in Santa Maria. Kmart closed its doors last month. Now U-Haul has plans to use the space for Storage and truck rental. Officials say they are working on getting permits, but that could take a year or so. Until then, U-Haul plans to sell moving supplies. They plan to hold a grand opening on Monday.
