Santa Maria City Officials debated the best way to house temporary farm workers last night. City Council member considered an urgency ordinance that would put an end to using hotels and motels as H-2A housing. According to KSBY, Santa Maria sees the greatest number of temporary farmworkers in the state. The discussion on how to house the H2A farmworkers has been pushed to the city council meeting to be held on April 16th.
