Pismo Beach police officers were called out to the railroad tracks next to the 400 block of S. Dolliver in Pismo Beach following reports of a pedestrian being struck by an Amtrak train Friday evening. When they arrived, Officers were unable to find a victim. They caught up with 38-year-old Brian Doherty in the Arroyo Grande Community hospital Emergency room. Officials say he was determined to be the person who was struck by the train. Doherty suffered non-life threatening injuries to his arm and hand. An investigation is ongoing.
