Lompoc city officials will hold another meeting tonight to discuss their budget deficit. The city is facing a nearly 4 million dollar budget shortfall for the 2019-2021 fiscal years. A number of solutions are on the table to help close the gap, including major cuts to the police and fire departments. A citywide 1 percent sales tax measure will also be discussed. Tonight’s meeting will be held in the Lompoc City Council Chamber at 6 p.m… The public is invited to voice their opinions.
