Cal Poly is welcoming a new on-campus community garden. Officials broke ground yesterday on the 1200 square foot space that will feature organically-grown food. Its the sixth community garden within the San Luis Obispo City Limits. The Cal Poly project will let students, staff, and faculty grow vegetables that will be donated to the school’s Food Pantry program while raising awareness about food security and the significance of locally-sourced food.
