The San Luis Obispo County Board of Supervisors has adopted a nearly 640 million dollar budget for the fiscal year 2019-2020. The final budget increased by just over 1 percent. The Supervisors had to prioritize a number of services and programs, including roads and public safety. According to KSBY, the new budget includes funding for affordable housing programs, groundwater sustainability, economic development, and the Stepping Up Initiative to help keep people with mental illness out of jail.
