Firefighters are getting the upper hand on a couple of fires that are still burning to the north and south of us. Forward progress of The Range Fire near Lake Cachuma was last reported to be stopped. Crews have that blaze about 75 percent. The Lake Fire that broke out on Monday near Lake San Antonio has scorched roughly 316 acres and was last reported to be 80 percent contained. Investigations into the causes of both fires are underway.
