ECHO Gets Longer Hours And More Beds

The El Camino Homeless Organization in Atascadero will soon become the North County’s first round-the-clock shelter. ECHO officials say the 50-bed transitional and emergency homeless facility plans to add 10 beds, many of which will go to homeless individuals recovering from medical treatment. Earlier this week, the Atascadero City Council unanimously voted in favor of expanded hours and expanded capacity. ECHO now plans to be open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
