A San Luis Obispo Police officer, answering a call about a possible burglary, shot a dog yesterday morning. Authorities say It happened on Santa Rosa Street. as officers approached the residence, a large dog ran toward them. One of the officers feared for his safety and fired at the dog. An investigation is ongoing.
