Atascadero Police say a standoff with a man threatening to harm himself ended tragically Friday afternoon. Authorities say, the man’s son was inside the home when shots were fired. He was able to escape and call for help. Police say the man who barricaded himself inside the Cristobal Street home took his own life at some point during the standoff. No other details are currently available. The investigation is ongoing.
