Three Cited In Alcohol Stings

The Santa Maria and Guadalupe police departments got together over the weekend to conduct Alcohol Beverage Control operations in their cities. Both used the “Shoulder Tap” and “Minor Decoy” programs. No stores were cited for selling alcohol to a minor decoy, but three people were cited during the “shoulder tap” operation. A clerk at Roy’s Liquor in Guadalupe failed to ask for I.D. of a man who agreed to buy alcohol for an underaged friend before the decoy approached him. All three were cited and are scheduled to appear in court.
