Santa Barbara County Declares Health Emergency

Santa Barbara County has declared a health emergency for the coronavirus. Officials say the order is to mandate social distancing and canceling non-essential group gatherings. They add that there is no cause for panic. The declaration was made to ensure the county receives resources necessary to keep the community safe. Health officials say there have been 61 people monitored for Covid19, they have all been cleared of the virus. There are currently no confirmed cases of coronavirus in Santa Barbara or San Luis Obispo Counties.
