Pipeline Company To Pay Millions For Oil Spill

Five-years after 120,000 gallons of crude were spilled onto Santa Barbara County beaches a settlement has been reached. The U.S. Department of Justice and the State of California filed a consent decree in federal court that requires Plains All American Pipeline to pay more than $60 million for natural resource damages and penalties and to reimburse the governmental entities for costs incurred as result of the spill.
