Foodbanks Working To Fill Needs

The Food banks of San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara Counties are working to keep up with a growing demand for food. Since Mid-March, SLO County Food bank has provided a quarter-million pounds of food to the community. According to KSBY, They recently signed a contract with the county of San Luis Obispo to use emergency funding to purchase $400,000 worth of additional food. Santa Barbara County Food bank officials say they distribute roughly 80,000 pounds of food a day. Both food banks say they are grateful for their communities’ support.
