County Officials Send Letter To Newsom Asking To Ease Restrictions

San Luis Obispo County officials plan to send Governor Gavin Newsom a letter asking him to relax statewide shelter-at-home orders on a county-by-county basis. It could help some area businesses reopen. Plans to slowly roll back the shelter-at-home order are in the works, but County officials say those plans won’t take effect until Governor Gavin Newsome lifts the order. According to the Tribune, more than 19,000 workers have applied for unemployment because businesses closed their doors due to the pandemic.
