A Santa Maria Resident became the 8th person in Santa Barbara County to die from the novel coronavirus. Health officials say the patient was in their 60s and had pre-existing health conditions. The county also reported eight new confirmed cases of coronavirus, bringing the county’s total to 485. 81 people are recovering at home and 360 people have fully recovered. Thirty-three people are currently hospitalized.
