44 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in San Luis Obispo County yesterday. That brings the county’s total to 1,970 confirmed cases. Officials point out that 1,598 people have recovered. 16 deaths have been attributed to the virus. Santa Barbara County reported 60 new confirmed cases of the coronavirus, including 3 deaths of people who tested positive. Two of the people were over the age of 70. The third was under 70 years old. all three had underlying health conditions. San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara County officials say issues with the electronic system for lab records are causing a statewide delay in case reporting.
