Health officials say the person was over 70, with underlying health. The total number of COVD cases in Santa Barbara County is now 7,074. San Luis Obispo County has now had 17 deaths attributed to COVID-19. The latest person to die after testing positive for the virus was in their 90s with chronic health problems. 24 new cases of COVID-19 were added to the county’s total, bringing it to 2,278.
