Cal Fire Crews are still working several brush fires in San Luis Obispo County that were sparked by the lightning storm that rolled through the area Saturday. Officials say the forward progress on many of the fires has been halted. A fire burning near Rancho Road and S. Dana Foothill Road in Nipomo is reported to be 100 percent contained. Meanwhile, the Whale Fire burning northeast of Cayucos has grown to 210 acres was last reported to be 40 percent contained.
