National Guard Joining The Fight In State Wildfires

Firefighters are starting to get a handle on three fires that broke out over a week ago in Monterey County. The largest of the three fires is the River Fire which was started by a lightning strike Sunday, August 16th was last reported to be 33 percent contained. Meanwhile, as wildfires continue to rage, some out of control, Hundreds of California Army National Guard soldiers have been training at Camp Roberts to help fight the fires. With a motto of always ready, always there, National Guard officials say their troops are ready to lend a hand.
