Santa Maria Police are asking for your help in locating a man they say shot at an officer Saturday afternoon. According to officers, 27-year-old Dustin Morales was spotted while officers responded to an unrelated call on East Grant Street. When an officer tried to detain him, a struggle began. Morales pulled a gun and fired at the officer and missed. Morales fled, and later stole a car at gunpoint. He’s caucasian, 5-6, with brown hair, green eyes and tattoos on his neck and face. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the Santa Maria Police Department.
