The mobile carwash industry in Santa Maria could see some changes. City officials will be discussing a new ordinance tomorrow night. It would include permit fees, an application process and a waste disposal permit, just to name a few requirements under the proposed ordinance. The same regulations brick and mortar carwashes follow. Opponents of the ordinance say it could put them out of business. Supporters say it’s about fairness. City officials could vote on the ordinance tomorrow afternoon.
