Lone Gray Wolf Located In SLO County

For the first time in nearly 200 years, a gray wolf has been located on the Central Coast. According to the California Department of Fish and Wildlife, the lone wolf known as OR-93 has made a 1,000-mile trek from the Mt. Hood area of Oregon to the Central Coast possibly in search of a mate. Wildlife officials say the last time a wolf was spotted on the Central Coast may have been in 1826.
