Lompoc Police say last month’s officer-involved shooting investigation will not be heading to the state Attorney General’s office. A new California law calls for a state prosecutor to investigate all officer-involved shootings involving unarmed civilians. Police say 26-year-old Krys Ruiz was armed with a knife, and charging at officers when the shooting happened.
