The FBI is investigating the death of an inmate at Lompoc Federal Prison. Officials say an inmate was found unresponsive in his cell early Sunday morning. Lifesaving measures were started by staff members and continued after emergency medical staff arrived. The inmate would be pronounced dead. Bureau of Prisons officials have not said if the cause of death was suspicious or natural. The inmate has not been identified pending notification of next of kin.
