A suspected car thief led police on a pursuit that prompted a lockdown of a middle school yesterday. Arroyo Grande Police say, they were looking for 28-year-old Dalton Lee Cross yesterday on Stanely Avenue when he bolted through the Arroyo Grande Creek and into the nearby neighborhood. Officers caught up with Cross on Garden Street. Paulding Middle School was placed on a precautionary lockdown during the incident. A search of Cross’ home turned up, two stolen vehicles from San Luis Obispo, and stolen property from throughout San Luis Obispo County.
