CHP Maximum Enforcement Nabs Hundreds Of DUI Drivers

California Highway Patrol officials say their Christmas Maximum Enforcement nabbed 271 drivers for driving under the influence. The maximum enforcement period began on Christmas Eve at 6 p.m. and concluded on December 25 at 11:59 p.m. During that time, the CHP says at least 10 people were killed in traffic collisions throughout the state. A similar holiday enforcement effort is planned for next week during the New Year’s celebration.
