San Luis Obispo Police are investigating a shooting incident that happened last weekend. It started at Tonita’s Mexican Grill at around 2:40 a.m. Sunday, when 22-year-old Chase Calvin of Bakersfield challenged another man to a fight. Another man who appeared to know Calvin got involved, brandishing a gun and taking a shot at the victim. They fled, but police caught up with Calvin a short time later.
