Cal Poly officials are taking a “wait and see” approach to the Coronavirus. They say they’ll continue with business as usual adding that no classes have been canceled. But if the coronavirus becomes more of a threat, they do have several contingency plans in place, including switching to virtual classes. Meanwhile, UC Santa Barbara has announced it will be transitioning instruction to online classes in response to coronavirus concerns. Cal Poly sent out an email yesterday strongly urging students, faculty, and staff to not travel for personal reasons. Cal Poly has also suspended all international and non-essential domestic travel for its staff.
