Governor Wants COVID-19 Relief For Undocumented Families

What will no doubt be a controversial move in California, help for undocumented families. ABC’s Alex Stone reports that California is becoming the first state to make COVID-19 relief available to those who are in the country illegally. Governor Gavin Newsom says undocumented families don’t qualify for other aid now they’ll be able to get up to a thousand dollars. He says undocumented workers are critical to the state right now. It’ll be a combination of state and private money that will be available next month to those who are undocumented.
